As a mother to an almost teenage daughter, I spend a lot of time boosting her self confidence, encouraging her to pursue her dreams and most of all encouraging her to completely be herself.
I appreciate this is hard for a teenager who is surrounded by peer pressure and an incessant need to fit it, but I am proud to say my daughter is doing an amazing job at this so far. She has an inner confidence and determination which means she is not easily led, nor is she afraid to speak her mind.
It got me thinking, how many of us adults are living this kind of life? Are we congruent? Do we conform in order to achieve a simple life?
In my view, the only way you can make your mark on this world and live the life you were meant to have, is by standing up for what you represent without fear.
Be a voice, not an echo.
